Director
 |
| Nancy P. Behravesh, director of Les Enfants, started the school in Los Angeles in 1989 and has remained director throughout the past fifteen years. Studying Sociology in the Ph.D. program at Harvard and attaining an M.A. in Sociology from Goddard College and a B.A. from Grinnell College, Behravesh encourages parental involvement and input and places a high value on children's self-esteem, creativity and growth. She has and continues to foster a consistent, nurturing and secure atmosphere in which children can grow to their potential - believing that building empathy and self-confidence are key in the structure of an emotionally healthy and intellectually curious child. Nancy stays current on child-rearing and social/psychological issues and can be counted on for dependable counsel in many issues regarding children and families. |
Staff
 |
| All staff have B.A. or AA degrees in Child Development as well as CPR Certification. Though the Child Care and Pre-school field is reputed to have a high occurrence of teacher turn-over, numerous Les Enfants teachers have been with the school for many years. There is a parent-sponsored and school-supported bonus program for rewarding teachers for their seniority, as well as rewards for teachers for continuing Child Development education. |
| Please ask to personally meet the teacher for your child's age group during your tour. They will be happy to greet you and answer any particular questions you may have. Most families develop close relationships with their children's teacher that last beyond their years at Les Enfants. Families continue to return to Les Enfants enrolling thier second or third children. |
| Les Enfants continues to enhance our administration through a full-time staff trainer that assists in the continual training of our staff as well as curriculum development. |
